It's hard to recall all of them but basically I used different layer modes all on different opacities, and adjusted the colors to look screenshot-ish.
I think the most important step is making sure it is blurred well.

My god... I could've sworn this was the real thing for a minute. This... THIS is the kind of fan content I crave for the most: raw, powerful emotions conveyed through visual storytelling, coupled with excellent art. In just two panels, you've single-handedly explained why I fell in love with the idea of this pairing. Oh, if only the game allowed for them to explore this subplot...

Yes, it would have been nice if the game had involved Akechi more and allowed for the player to see more of his past and struggles.
I've heard that the upcoming anime will give Akechi more of a role this time around, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
