how do you made such things with apophysis? i thought you could just generate flames...it looks so diffrent by me....

You can and you do generate flames in Apophysis, but you can tweak the flames you make. When you open it, it generates a general flame, but if you go to the editor (the "fx" that appears in the tool bar) you can start messing around with it and change the shapes.
Try to follow the tutorial I followed to get this shape. It is in the description. Apophysis is a big world to explore. 
There are many tutorials around dA for it.
