Propellers and rudder! There are still some shaping issues with the hull, but they're so minor and simultaneously annoying that I've decided to ignore them, and just work on completing the model. I do have another hull in the works, but I intend to actually bring this model to a state where I'm comfortable calling it complete before I do too much work elsewhere.
I figure it's about time I get a finished Titanic up here again, it has been a LONG time since I modelled a funnel for her. Also, completing this is good practice for the details on a better shaped model, anyway, and who knows? Maybe the issues I have will actually wind up not being a factor, and this model will be useable. I'm hoping that's the case, anyway. The parts of Titanic I've always enjoyed modelling are the boat deck, A-deck, and bits of the superstructure, anyway, as well, so this allows me to move on and get some more work done.
Honestly, my main worry now is the texture. The hull definitely needs one, but it needs a precise one, that details the hull plating fairly precisely. So I'm going to have to UV cut this very cleanly, which is something I've only done once before (for the first Titanic that never got textured). But that's about the final step, anyway. Otherwise I think it'll all be fun.
I'll keep posting updates as I make progress, hopefully they'll be spread over no more than a month.
Oh, and yes, I've abandoned Starship, for now. All the modelling for the SN8 flight is done, anyway, it's just animating and effects, which annoy me. So that'll be put off to an unknown date. In fact, as of right now, I actually intend to animate this, first.
Oh, and this is 4K. So you can enjoy all the mesh errors and historical inaccuracies.
