Okay, I've had parachutes on the boosters all along, I only just now decided to see if they actually work. They do!! Admittedly, this one failed to splashdown, for a pretty simple reason. I was also testing something the real shuttles didn't have, a launch escape system. Basically, it activates all the sepatrons on the main tank and the decoupler connecting the orbiter to the stack, freeing the shuttle and pulling the highly volatile rockets away from the shuttle. I failed to land the orbiter (I was wrong about the wings :/), so that'll need a redesign, but these worked exactly as intended!
