Don't worry, the sea serpent isn't going to hurt the sailor -- she's pretty angry at him, and she wants him to know how much he hurt her, but she'd never intentionally try to hurt him in return. Maybe just scare him a little.

This started out as an angsty doodle to help me vent a few weeks ago, and I kind of liked how it was turning out, so I finished it. It's terribly messy and there's all sorts of problems with it, but it was fun to just aimlessly scribble a bunch of waves and sharp teeth and such. Next time maybe I won't be so lazy (note the strategically placed wave in front of the sailboat -- I didn't feel like drawing a human). It was also a good excuse to practice using a monochromatic color scheme. The picture's title is from a Norah Jones song by a similar name ("Sinkin' Soon").
