In the Reimagined AU SkyWings are born with fluffy down like birbs, most grow out of them in favor of scales but some keep them. Feathered head crests, tail feathers, wings, or even just being fully feathered aren’t unusual traits within the Sky Kingdom. Fireborn SkyWing feathers are just as hot as their scales, but become normal feathers once plucked or shed.
