Sometimes, even a moth can be beautiful, in its own special way.(I really wish you'd full-view it)
Oh, and mucho <3 <3 to for identifying it. Seems that I got a picture of luna moth!

It is a Luna Moth and yes, they are very real. They are one of the most beautiful moths found in the United States. While they can be found in most of the eastern states, they seem to be more concentrated in the northeast. It is a silkmoth and generally most silkmoths are large and beautiful. Other moths to check out are the Polyphemus, Promethea, and Cecropia, which are all beautiful moths here in the US. The Cecropia is the largest moth in North America.

its fluffy and has a very good shade of green o3o luna moths dont have mouths i think so they eat evolve live as a moth and then die in like 2 weeks or something i think...

i checked right now! and they live only a week.. sorry ^.^U they live long enough to mate and lay eggys and they lay about 200 eggs and are only awake at night time.. their also very white and fluffy when they come out of their egg

Lol I found a moth like that in my town, and I have mottephobia (fear of moths). Somehow my friend picked it up and chased me with it!

Luna moths are one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen. They are like something out of a dream.
This piece is pure beauty, the sentiments as well. The grayed hands are wonderful surrounding the green moth, it conveys the intention, and centers the moth. Lovely!

I love that you can see all the detail in the palms, the wrinkles, the imprints, the whorls. I'm not a fan of selective coloring, but you did this sooo well. Kudos! Good job.
Btw, moths are, I think, incredible creatures. They aren't as glamorous as butterflies, but to me they signify change and are always welcome in my home when they enter my bedroom at night.

I know, I've come to understand that selective coloring can be REALLY tacky, but given the feedback I've gotten over the last year, I feel that I applied it appropriately in this piece.

The moth is stunning u_u the blending between the two pictures is very good, and I love the way his hands look kind of grungy, dirty.....adds emphasis to the moth's color and soft velvety look.
