Magpiekit takes after her mother in a a lot of things- she's overly happy and playful, always keeping a positive demeanor and upping the spirits of the cats around her. She can never seem to sit still, because she's bouncy and excitable by nearly everything. "There's a whole world out there! So many things to see!" She's a real sweetie, and loves being social and helping her friends. She soars just like the magpie she's named after, aiming to spread joy. Maggie is scatter-brained and easily-distracted, always feeling restless. She's spontaneous and would rather wing everything rather than coming up with a plan. Maggie is incredibly innocent and naive, especially concerning mates, crushes and kits, and because of this, she doesn't understand the meaning of secrets and struggles with keeping them. Though she's generally a happy soul, she's easily disheartened by criticism and put downs.

Magpiekit stirred in her nest. It was late in the evening, and she had
bedded down for a nap. She only felt the press of one littermate- Scarletkit,
but the rest were absent. She lifted her black and white head, green eyes
gleaming in the dim light. The kit spotted her pelt of Ratfang watching her
littermates playfight, a warm smile on his face. Magpiekit pushed up out of
her nest and scurried towards the wrestling kits, squeeing in delight. She
launched into the catpile and started to wave her paw back and forth,
trying to strike one of her siblings.
She was thrown out of the pile. Magpie crouched down and leaped back
in with a squeal, laughing triumphantly as she held Shadedkit down.

Shadedkit tumbled out of the nursery as the sun was at its highest. Anything to get a little bit of warmth before it gets colder again... He scanned the surroundings before bounding towards the freshkill pile. He was still a bit suspicious that someone was following him...

Magpiekit stretched her jaws open in a yawn as she peered out of the nursery. Pale sunlight
draped down over the camp, casting dark shadows in the den and across the pelts of the cats.
She twitched her nose, watching her brother, Shadedkit. She crept out of her den and after
him, before breaking into a run and leaping on his back. "SHADA!"

Shadedkit fell down laughing as his sister held onto him. "I knew SOMEONE was following me!" he announced as they rolled into the pile; a mouse falling on his head. "What just hit me?" he looked around, the mouse still on his head.

Magpiekit pressed a paw to her mouth and giggled. "Food! Dere's food on your head!" she didn't
recognize the piece of prey- mice typically weren't found in StoneClan territory. "I gotcha!" she
mewed triumphantly, holding her brother down.

Shadedkit shook his head and the mouse fell into his mouth. "I think you did!" he said muffled as he ate it without much issues. "This is... MOUSE!" he struggled to escape from his sister. "Oh you lil!" he was stuck.

Ratfang entered the nursery, a plump mouse in his mouth. It fellt strange to be coming into the nursery so often, since he had been living in the Warrior den. He honestly didn't want to leave Songheart and the kits alone... it worried him. So he would rather be living with Songheart, curleed up next to her at night.
He headed towards his family's nest, where the kits had been born only a week or so ago. The maine coon dropped the mouse at Songheart's paws, licking her once, then he lay down himself in front of the nest. The kits were still tiny, and Ratfang smiled with fondness as he watched them mewl and crawl. He had such a protectiveness over them, it was hard to imagine that he had almost given up the chance of being there for them completely. With a soft smile, he licked one of the kits, Magpiekit, on the top of her head.

Magpiekit blinked open her pale eyes, feeling the caressing of a
tongue on her head. Twitching her noise, she jerked her head up
to see her father, Ratfang, lying down in front of her and pressed
to Songheart's side. "Dada!" The white and black she kit exclaimed,
tumbling down her mother's side slightly. She scrabbled with her
tiny paws to regain grip.
The young kit pulled herself up, mewling. She blinked affectionately,
her eyes sparkling. Magpiekit stared into her dad's deep grey eyes.
"Hi dada!"

Ratfang smiled as his young daughter spoke. "Hey, Maggie." He said, his voice low to not wake the other cats. He couldn't explain why he was so happy being ariund Magpiekit, or any of the kits. Or Songheart. "You sleep well, love?" The silver tom asked, noticing how the rest of the kits were fast asleep. "Your Mum awake too, or is she snorin' away like your brothers and sisters?"

"I slept well! I slept for so long!!" Magpiekit puffed out her fluffy
white chest. She was wide awake, despite the fact she just woke
up. "Mama asleep." Her bright green eyes were wide and sparkling.
She flicked her tail- the one too fluffy for her body.

Ratfang found himself purring, but nodded nonetheless. "She's sleeping, right?" He said, somehow amused by this. Then, mischievously, he lowered his voice to a whisper and brought his face close to his daughter's. "Whadda you say, we wake her up?" He said with a smirk.

small kitten questioned. She tilted her head to the side, staring at Ratfang.

Ratfang shook his head in mirth. "Aw, kid. The same way you wake up anycat." He stood up, twirling his tail. "Allow me to demonstrate!" He stepped close to Songheart and put his face close to her ear. "HEY SONG! UP AN' AT 'EM!" He cried, then bounced backwards to avoid any backlash.

Songheart's eyes flew open, pupils shrinking as they adjusted to the morning light. "Ex-CUSE you!"
the queen meowed, in a mock-angry, hushed tone. She grinned lightly. "Just be glad," she mewed,
stroking her mewling kits gently with her tail, "you didn't wake up the kiddos." She turned to Magpiekit,
swiping at her gently with a sheathed paw. "Are you his partner in this?" she asked. The kit squeaked,
scrambling towards Ratfang.

Ratfang gave a laugh, sheltering Magpiekit underneath his large tail. "It was all her idea, Song! She's a mastermind, that kit! I had no choice!"
But even as he spoke, he watched his mate and the kits closely, observing them. He found himself completely at a loss when it came to understanding the kits' minds, and he was in awe at how well Songheart was at taking care of them.
And yet, he grinned mischievously down at his young daughter.

Magpiekit's eyes widened to the size of saucers. "No, momma! It wasn't me!! It was
daddy!" She looked up at her father, blinking her pale eyes. She scurried over to her
mother and hopped up onto her paws. "Momma, you know it wasn't me, right momma?"
she asked. Songheart patted her on the head. "I'm sure you didn't, poppet," she mewed
soothingly.
"Say sorry to the baby," Songheart meowed, chuckling. Magpiekit snickered.

Ratfang looked upwards guiltily, but smiled cheekily. "Aw, fine. I'm the devil." He crept forward, looking as though he was about to lick Magpiekit on the head. Then, he picked her up by the scruff, rolled onto his back and dropped her on his chest, holding her with his forepaws. "Gotcha, Maggie! I never apologize"

Magpiekit squealed in surprise, giggling as her father gently grabbed ahold of her small, fluffy
body. "Mommy, mommy, help!" she called, trying to squirm free. Her smile stretched from cheek
to cheek. Songheart shifted from her nest and reached forward. "Rawr! Here comes mama bear!"
she meowed playfully, batting away the paws of her mate.

Ratfang laughed, surrendering his captive to Songheart and feelling very strange to be on his back. He wriggled onto his feet and gave a fake growl. "Foiled again!"

Songheart chuckled. "Definitely! Now, you will do our bidding," she mewed with mock malice. She
twitched her nose and glanced at Magpiekit. "What shall we do first?" she asked.
Magpiekit hopped up and down excitedly. "More food!"

The maine coon rolled his eyes playfully in mock annoyance. "Ok-aaay. If I have to." He grinned, but then bent down to his daughter's height and poked her with his nose. "Any specific preferences? Song?" He added, glancing at his mate, who was smirking next to him. He wasn't particularely looking forward to being out hunting, but, having gotten over his initial sheepishness about hunting, he knew it was a necessary action, and one that kept his mate and offspring alive and healthy, at that. However, secretly, he often cheated and brought food from the freshkill pile. He knew the kits couldn't tell the difference, since they had only recently begun eating solid food.
He straightened his silver body and stretched, observing the ever-bouncing Magpiekit as he waited for an answer.

Shatterkit woke with a start as a tiny paw kicked her In the nose. She batted her sibling away with an annoyed hiss, and stared around, realizing the early morning light stretching through the nursary entrance. There was no point getting back to sleep now! Shatterkit leaped out of her mother's grip in an attempt not to wake the others and padded towards the light, sitting just outside the den, staring sleepily at the clearing.

the fact that she just woke up, and that she should still be sleeping.
Her voice was slightly toned down from her normal voice, but it was
still loud, nonetheless. She raised her tail, her ears perking up.

She then asked her sister curiously, she knew why she was up herself, but why her sister was awake was a different matter!
