I really like this. It's something I haven't seen before, the colors are done well and the effects aren't sandblasted on. The only thing I don't like is the choppiness of the sprites used. Obviously, being a sprite, it's going to be pixelated, but there are ways to clean up the edges.

Other than that, nice work. ^_^
