Oh, one of the discs had a crack in it, y'know right in the center where it sticks in the case? yeah that bit.. so if we take it out too many times it'll snap the whole disc D=

I use the Unsharp Mask with settings at 300/0.2-0.5 (depending)/0

i'm not even 100% sure why its not sharp enough, its at 70mm on my 70-300mm lens and the shutter speed is fine

And I don't think it has to do with your gear/settings. It's simply focused on the edge of her contours, rather than the forefront.

`geckokid was the one who shared those settings with me a long time ago Works on pretty much everything, from photos to scans of paintings and digi paintings and cats and penises.
