Description "New suit, same old me!"

(See the Peter Parker variant here: bit.ly/climbguy-Peter-Parker )

My character design for an adult Spidey in his prime. My Peter is in his mid-twenties and using resources from his lab job, he has refined his suit to be more iconic and robust than the hoodie suit from his early days.

I took a inspiration from Insominiac's version of the character in creating a look that feels more athletic and functional. I also took some inspiration from free-runners (and Mirror's Edge) and climbers when designing the knee pads that look like something akin to Faith Connors' pants, and at one point this design even featured a climber's harness that housed a lot of his gadgets. I decided to do away with it cause it felt a bit too different (but maybe I'll post later). The brighter red sections on the knuckles, toes, shoulders (and back spider logo) are reinforced with a durable carbon fiber material. The webshooters are external because I wanted to keep the functional and pieced-together aesthetic from my original hoodie suit that makes my Spidey feel like he's put everything together and it's not 100% streamlined. The gizmo on the belt holsters web-cadtridges and automatically reloads the webshooter when the nozzle is clicked into place on the holster.

(See the Peter Parker Variant: bit.ly/climbguy-Peter-Parker ) When designing Peter Parker I was inspired by several of my favorite looks he's had elsewhere, but also by what personality I envisioned my Peter having. He falls somewhere between Insomniac's good-natured Peter and the worn, sarcastic, and weary Peter from Spider-Verse. His humor is a bit more sardonic, and he's more world-weary, but still has his hopefulness. I wanted his look to be friendly but also vaguely off-putting - mostly because of how tired and worn out he looks. His hair is constantly disheveled, he's got bags under his eyes, and his nose has a crick in it from all the beatings he's taken.

Spidey is my favorite character full stop. Had a blast coming up with and refining my own interpretation of his iconic look!

Lemme know what you think!
