Description A work in progress, I'm trying to figure out a way to fix what I see as a problem with the current MSNBC look during daytime programming, which is largely the mess of the upper bar, along with the midalignment of the crawl to the lower third.

Oh wow this is pretty good! Frankly I'm LOVING that upper 3rd bar! I don't like how in the real version it's a solid bar. I feel as if I'm being confined to a screen and I don't really like it. If it faded out like yours I would feel so much better!

I'm both a fan of the upper bar and not a fan of it. I almost think, very lightly, that they were aiming to simulate CNBC in some form. Thanks.
