I love how the devil in this story's deal-with-the-devil is a harmless looking stuffed animal creature with a fixed gentle smile. It's like it purposely chose the form that would be most effective in gaining the trust of adolescent girls.
Man I haven't done micro-detailing like this in a while. Maybe next time I should just look up some building stock images and splice them in there.

Yep. The title was really just an acknowledgement of the Faust legend instead of a label for Kyubey. I'm actually not that familiar with the story so I had forgotten that name and just remembered a demon of some sort.

Kyubey = Mephistopheles. Because in the beginning of the story, faust(Homura) sold his sould to Mephistopheles(kyubey)
And Madoka is Margarete, who later became Gretchen(hence her witch's name is Kriemhild GRETCHEN.

well... thatΒ΄s because that form itΒ΄s purpousely chose so he can gain easily the trust of teenage girls! he never changes his expression because he doesn't understand emotions and he randomly changing expression would make him even more uncanny
