She stood there, the flames burning around her, as she looked at the once proud little village. They had muttered behind her back, laughed at her and mocked her. Now they understood the pain that she had felt all her life. Their village all interlocked and friendly, they’d formed a ring, leaving her on the outside. Now they understood what it was like to be alone, without their nice things. She looked down at the waterfall, now she would join them, together in their death, but separate in forms. She would always be different than them, but they would look up to her in their death and see her dying with them and accept her.
