The judge nodded and the uniformed man stopped the projector.
“Are there any clues to these murders?” the judge was tiring of these reconstructions of rather gruesome murders.
“I would like to show you number nine. This video clip is not a reconstruction.”
“Then what video taping is it?”
“This was recorded during the act, by the murderer.”
The judge looked shocked, but solemnly nodded for the projection to begin.
As the image flickered into focus, a dark room was shown. The camera was spun around in a home-movie style to a naked woman chained to a wall. Her limbs were limp, her flesh withered as if she had not eaten for days. Her eyes opened, she spotted the hand held camera and presumably the man behind, she struggled briefly as her head slumped to the side.
A gloved hand came in front of the camera, teasingly stroking the woman’s soft skin. A muffled voice was heard,
“Giving up so quickly?”
The woman squirmed as the camera focused upon her stomach as blood trickled out of a fine cut. His hand danced with the blade over her stomach, drawing patterns as the blade pushed deeper into her stomach.
The man’s muffled voice erupted again,
“So weak, I’m bored with you already.”
The woman’s ears pricked up at hearing this, she began to panic.
“Bit better, now your death will be slower and more amusing.”
She slumped to the side, realising that she couldn’t win. His blade spiralled over her breasts and coated her whole body in a new blood red colour.
“This is what I hate about you women, no fight in you after you foresee the end. Well for you bitch, this will be it.”
He slid the knife down her stomach, splitting the skin apart as he revealed her innards and left her to bleed.
