Tom opened his blood red eyes, his head thumping as the light scalded through the back of his eye sockets. He fell out of his chair with a loud thump as he hit the carpeted floor, not bothering to move out of his twisted positioning as he lay on the floor staring at the ceiling.
He grasped around the table for the remote as a loud cheering shook his head. He switched off the television and slumped his arm to the ground. His eyes drifted closed.
As he lay there, he began to shake himself to get up. He thought back to his student days, there were better things to do than lay here. He pushed himself to his feet and went to get showered, pulling on his biker leathers and ready to go for a ride.
Admittedly he hadn’t ridden in a while; in fact ever since he got his job he had left the bike to collect dust in the garage. He took off at a high speed, not heading anywhere in particular. It had gone noon by the time he had wrenched himself from the house and after driving round for a bit, he was set to re-visit another place from his past.
He pulled up, chaining his bike up in the grotty alley. Pulling off his helmet as he made his way into the dank door, Closer rang through his ears as he saw the women wandering over the stage with their unnaturally large chests.
