Description
18"x24" Acrylic on CanvasPainted for the Art Core show at Forgotten Saints, Hollywood, CA. Later on display at the 2009 Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in Los Angeles, and then at Hyaena Gallery. This painting has appeared on the cover of Macabre Cadaver Magazine, as well as on the CD art, and the booklet art for the European release of the SYSTEM SYN album "Strangers."

Wow, this image is really chilling. I love how you combined all of these "brighter" colors to make the skin tone. I always have a really difficult time with that, but yours has amazing value and shading to it. The detail on the lower hand is really fantastic.

At first i didn't know what to think of it. But as i just kept staring and staring at it, because it's really hard to look away from - in a good way, I found that while it looks like the person is in pain, he is also taking a pleading stance, his top pair of eyes, like ~BlackSword said, look calm compared to the lower pair that project hatred while all the mouths are open in agony. Personally, i must agree with everyone here that this is a wonderful piece.

This reminds me of a ancient mesoamerican scultpture I once saw that illustrated the stages of life and death through various peeling human faces. Very powerful== like he's calling up personae from his gut and his body can't keep up with the demand.

It looks like a cover illustration for one of those literate horror story collections, like Mind In Chains. It's so effective that after having it up on the screen for a minute or so I felt I had to favour it.

My fav so far,amazing effect created by the multi-mouths and ya just gotta love those exposed ribs! As I commented on one of your other fine pieces of art I am considering this as the basis for my upper sleeve Tattoo and would love your opinion.

I've thought about that before, using a piece of artwork here on dA as the basis of a tattoo. Some really amazing art here. And this would make quite a good one.

My tattooist Scoot Combes(Phoenix Tattoo, he's on here if you haven't already you should check out his work,I'm sure you'd appreciate it)is quite keen on the idea of tattooing it so I think we will be going ahead with it, reasonably large on the top of my right arm, it will be the basis for the rest of my upper sleeve,most likely done in black and grey.

This is gorgeous, Clint. I feel like I can reach out and lay my hand in his. This whole piece is just so tangible, and it's definitely one of my favorites... The composition is also quite nice. I'd hang this in my living room, and that says a lot, since I generally don't like hanging other people's work in my house. But this is a marvelous piece. Original, thought-provoking, and carried out beautifully.
