Description
This Carolina chickadee ruffles his feathers for a good wash during a gentle summer rain in Kansas. This is not the usual pose of these tiny but mighty birds, and I figured it was cute enough to share with my birder-friends here on DA. Its never easy to get the right white-balance on those cheeks, and I have done much better, but the obvious joy of this little bird to be wet could not have been better captured, and I think that is worth knowing; that there is a diminutive creature who is loving this world God has made, with all he is worth. There's a lesson for me in it.
