The leader lives in the bleached oak in the center, and the surrounding holes and dens are centers of commerce. In the rock is the hospital, where healers treat wounded foxes. Some of the other bushes are food storehouses. The bush by the base of the Monarch Tree is the Seer's den, it covers a hole that leads down to a root-filled cavern.

The pool in the middle is in fact a natural spring. It has cool, fresh, drinkable water during the summer, though during the winter it ices over. Unless it's particularly cold, though, the foxes can easily crack open the ice to get to the water.

There is a Court of the leader, which is composed of valued members of the community. They live in dens behind the leader's oak. The rest of the foxes live in dens surrounding the grove, which are not pictured here, but they're basically the same, hollow stumps, holes, bushes. The leader makes announcements from the flat branch the fox is sitting on, the one on the Leader's oak. The Court meets in the branches of the Monarch Tree. The dens on either side of the Monarch tree and behind the clearing are the dens of the citizens. These are generally smaller than the noble dens and just one room, where a noble may have a den with several chambers.
