Personality: Renee always seems to be filled with a lot of energy, usually excited about being superhero. She seems to prefer this over her college studies, if only because studying is rather boring to her. Renee does, however, like sports and tends to work out in her spare time. She does her best to try and encourage others, though with varying successes. She also tends to be snarky at times, as well as being very perceptive.

Brief History: Renee Owens is the only daughter of two scientists, Drs. Samuel Owens and Joana Carqueja. When Renee was eight, her mother died in a horrible car wreck known as the 'Junkyard of Roc Road'. After that, Renee lived with her father in the scientific wonder known as the Spire. Since living in the building, she has become fast friends with many of the scientists working in the spire, including Dr. Ken Hollins. At 18, Renee was helping out Clarke in an experiment dealing with malleable particles. There was sabotage and Renee was caught in an explosion while saving Dr. Hollins' life. After the event, Firefly discovered she has the ability to alter her size. Using tech designed by her father, Renee decided to become the size-shifting Firefly.

Recently, Firefly and Benjamin Blackwater, known as the superhero 'Night Goblin', helped defend earth from a diabolical alien tyrant known as Psi-Void. The resulting conflict put both heroes in the hospital. Despite some still healing injuries, Firefly left the hospital to continue her crime-fighting, donning a new look after he old costume was destroyed.

Powers: Firefly gained the ability to alter her size, allowing her to shrink to near sub-atomic size. This was due to exposure to malleable particles across her entire body. When shrinking, her strength and durability dramatically increase, allowing her to carry a full-grown man without difficulty. Debates whether she could also reverse the process (i.e. making herself bigger) is unknown as of now...

She also sports a set of gauntlets and boots, granting her flight when she is in shrunken size. Her flight speed is nearly 40 mphs and is capable of stopping on a dime. Her gauntlets can emit an intense light, allowing her to blind foes. She can adjust the settings on her gauntlets, turning them into a cutting laser or a blast of light energy.

Weaknesses: Firefly is durable, but not completely indestructible. Her tech can be damaged with enough force.
