Both of these characters are side characters and will not be seen as often as my other ones, but I love them too much to let them rot.

Surreal:

Species: Distorted Chupacabra/ bat hybrid
Gender: Genderless

Surreal is the result of a lone chupacabra falling into a radioactive waste pit containing various animal genetics, mainly those of bats. This led to them slowly changing in appearance over time, becoming much taller and obtaining a more grotesque body shape, including growing two large leathery bat wings. Their face completely melted off but the radioactive waste altering their genes keeps them alive, although they are not in any pain. They have completely lost all sense of feeling. They have no eyes, and therefore cannot see, which is where Opaque comes in.

Opaque:

Species: Crow
Gender: Female

Opaque plays the role of a seeing eye dog, making various noises to guide Surreal around No-Man's Land. Although Surreal has excellent hearing, Opaque gives them a huge sense of relief by just being there. The two are very close friends and promised to protect each other no matter what. Opaque is not mutated in any way, she is a normal crow that used to act as a messenger bird between soldiers during World War Six. She takes great responsibly for Surreal and the two never leave each other's side.
