Description
There's nothing really special about this and I wasn't going to photograph it, but for whatever reason my Drawing I teacher went through all the trouble of photographing it and sending the file to me, so I figured I might as well post it.Just a sketch of an old toothbrush for a class assignment to draw a still life of something commonplace and make it seem more "monumental" or "precious." Dunno if I did that, but MAN did I cop out on that "background." XD Man, it was later than I thought when I finished this.

Nice details on the bristles! It looks very much like a toothbrush that has been used beyond its lifespan.
The way it's balanced on the pedestal makes me anxious, but in a good way! Like I want to reach into the picture and move it from its precarious position. I feel like because I have an inclination to interact with the piece, or atleast am inclined to feel a certain way about the subject matter, that it is very successful. Also it makes for a nice composition Well done!!

Thanks! Those were comments no one else made in the class critique, so it was pretty awesome to hear another perspective. ^_^

Hehe glad I could provide another angle! That's weird cause I'm usually the one to point out the obvious.
By the way I tried to watch Criminal Minds on CSB's website but turns out they only had clips...now I'm really pissed off cause I started watching the episode with the "doll" collector and never got to see how it ended. But the clips of the shows I watched were really good! I think I might actually buy it if Amazon will give me a discount....

Oooh, I would love to own it too. And that is really awful that they don't have the end of the episode online. You can't watch a show like that and not see the ending! (I don't think I've seen that episode, though.)

Ooh you should see it, it was really good. Well, the clips were....apparently there's a website called watchcriminalminds.net but in order to watch episodes I would have had to complete one of those "which twilight character are you?" quizzes. I utterly refuse, not even for quality programming. Not to mention the fact that it wanted me to enter my personal information D:

Ugh. I hate places like that. I had to track down an episode of Smallville for one of my courses, and some of the sites I had to sift through to get it...*shudders* I could practically feel the spyware crawling into my laptop.

Weird coincidence! I thought it was kind of bizarre when they said it, and yet you agree. Hm. Glad I posted this now. XD
