"(Name)" The Captain smiled at you as he entered your dorm. You smiled warmly in welcome, and opened your arms for a hug, as he enveloped you in his arms you felt safe, you felt... Complete. It felt so right, encased in his warm muscled arms, pressed against his strong torso.

But it felt like a piece of reality was almost... missing.

Unfortunately, it was.

You jerked awake, gasping. You quickly looked around to get a sense of your surroundings, but when you looked to your left, you half expected Levi to be next to you, asleep. Of course he wouldn't be you had no connection to him, except you were in his squad for a few months. But the dream seemed so vivid. Almost like it actually happened. Could it be a memory?

You shook your head to clear your thoughts. You were being ridiculous. As if that had actually happened! You just were feeling empty because you were missing a massive piece of your life. Your mind was fabricating memories in order to make up for it. That must be it.
You deep sighed and walked groggily towards the shower.

Twenty minutes later you were running down the familiar halls of the Military Police base, unable to shake the dream you had had. You didn't need to pay attention to where you running, you had been walking these halls since you were seven.

You finally burst through Dok's office door and instinctively went to salute. You quickly realized this wasn't done here an awkwardly switched into a bow.

'Welcome back (First)' Dok smiled. You immediately broke into a grin and went forward to hug him. Since you had known him since you were seven and he was just a cadet it was hard to respect his authority or see him as anything other than a brother. It didn't matter too much, you followed orders and had a good sense of right and wrong so didn't get told off much. It was only really when someone with less morals than you complained that you would get scolded.

"It doesn't feel like I ever left" You said easily, very happy to be back.

"Well The Military Police is honored to have you- and you brought one of the best from the 104th I see" You laughed

"Yes, I guess- but don't start singing his praises, remember I ranked FIRST in the 103rd" This caused him to chuckle.

"Well I guess I don't need to tell you your duties- I assume you remember them?" You nodded and turned to leave, but Dok called your name. You turned around and raised an eyebrow

"What exactly happened between you and Captain Levi? I know our sectors dont really agree, but he seemed more hostile than usual" You shrugged;

"Must be because he was losing two skilled soldiers" Dok didn't look convinced

"It seemed more personal than that" Your mind immediately flicked to your dream- but you quickly suppressed it.

"We were both on his squad" His eyes widened as he processed the information

"Didn't he lose the rest of his squad?"

"Yeah, on a mission" You suddenly felt bad, Imagining the squad leader with no squad to lead left icicles in your heart, and you almost asked to go back. You quickly talked yourself out of it, there'd be more recruits this year, he'd quickly build up his squad again. Humanity's strongest soldier wouldn't exactly be struggling for people to join with him.

"I DON'T WANT ANYONE ERWIN" Levi knew he was being irrational but he didn't care. He didn't want a squad without HER on it. Though he knew he should. He should just accept that her memories were never coming back.

He stood up and left the room before Erwin could see the hot tears that were running down his face. His sorrow had transformed into white hot fury He stormed down the hall, punching holes in the walls as he went. When he eventually made it to his office he locked the door before he went into full freak out mode.

By the time Erwin came to find him, his office lay in tatters and he was curled in the middle of the floor, crying.

Erwin was about to knock when he heard the muffled sobs coming from the room. He turned on his heel and started singing really loudly to drown out the sound of Levi's heartbreak. Endless jokes were made about how Erwin should just sing and the titans would just run away, not that he cared. He was glad he could do one small thing to try and help Levi, his only real friend
