So I am not alone? I am in the same boat as you; I noticed the series back when I was in seventh grade, and now I am a high school senior. And I seriously want to see Claude as a teenager but I don't think I could handle that XD

haha nope. Honestly? I hold this manga on a pedestal because it was my first, like, in my hands, personal possession manga. It sits at my desk really close to me c= I would freakin LOVE that. I'd try to draw that but my actual drawin skills stick mainly to ponies & even they suck ^^'

I feel you when it comes to this book being placed very high; seriously, I have two copies because I because took the first one wherever with me and it got damaged a lot, so I bought me a second one and that one is my baby basically. XD And I have zero drawing abilities so maybe Miss Rosca will post a drawing of teenager-Claude some day :3

Can I ask you this; do you think Claude is Irish or am I the only fan (besides my best friend) to think that?

Oh, sadly, I couldnt do that. As a kid, I never got an allowance & now that Im workin, most goes to either bills or my father's smokin habit. =/ I still have yet to read volumes 2 & 3. lolz hopefully one day c=

OMG yes! I've always thought he was either Irish, British, or Latin. Mostly cuz his name is derived from the Latin word. I feel bad for him thou. His name in Latin & many other languages means lame lolz

I had to save up the second time around because my parents made me get a job sophomore year (I'm the oldest in my grade) and luckily, I didn't have to worry about paying anything important. AND I HAVE FAITH IN YOU! :3

I always thought he was Irish because of his last name, but his skin and even his hair color makes him look Latin so maybe his father is Irish and his mother is Latin probably. :3 That's my headcanon for him anyways, and to me Lucy is British no matter what, lol.

Oh my gosh, we have become friends! :3 And these are only the students because we know more about the Engineers than we do them!


1. Claude: Father is Irish and mother is Latin, but he lives with his parental grandparents, who are young (his grandfather is around late 50s and his grandmother is early 50s, and yes this is possible because I live in the South!), in Dublin since his parents don't bother to take care of him that much except when it comes to education stuff. His grandfather is a Catholic priest but he got his love for robotics from his grandmother, who was actually a world-renowned robotics creator. Has an older brother who is in college and has (or had) an older sister named Meg. As a teenager, his hatred for girls have disappeared since hangs around a lot of them but he is more cynical, sarcastic, impulsive, and slightly morbid but is still the smartest guy in school. Has a huge crush on Lucy but won't admit it worth a damn XD

2. Lucy: British, and lied about her parents being dentists so she can make real friends (what dentist can afford to send their daughter to an all-girls academy?); her father is actually a professor at Oxford and her mother is an artist/interior decorator for many celebrities. Is the youngest of three daughters and is considered the closest to her baby brother. As a teenager, she dresses like a hipster (minus the glasses) but acts nothing like one; she is morbid and creepy, perverted, hyper and childish, sweet and innocent, intelligent, and somewhat violent when fighting. Has a crush on Claude but is oblivious to her own feelings until later on in high school.

3. Summer: German or French descent. Her father is a CEO of a chemical corporation and her mother is a socialite, and she is an only child. As a child, she was never paid attention to by her parents and was always in the care of her nannies, so she spoiled by the nannies and loves it when people pay attention to her. As a teenager, she mellows out a bit after being away from her parents for so long and is more caring towards people of lower class but she still cares a snobbish, "better-than-you" personality. She pretended to want Claude as a boyfriend, but quickly forgets him as cute new guys come to their school

4. Francine: German or British father, and Spanish mother. Had a better home life than most mad scientists' children and was taught to value human life, which is why she never finished her projects. She is in fact very intelligent and was friends with Simon as toddlers but they didn't remember each other only a few years later until they are both in the Windmill. Had a new body created for her after her original body was destroyed by the Windmill Children but Miss Ricketts had test tubes of each students' DNA under her office. As a teenager, Francine is more overachieving and diligent with her work than most students but she is seen as cool, calm, and collected as she takes her experience with Weaver as a lesson to not slack off in anything. Has a friendship-rivalry with Simon since they are childhood friends but she actually likes him more than a friend.

5. Carmen: Australian mother who worked with third world diplomat services and Brazilian father who works with new technology to brainwash people. Had a harder than most mad scientists' children since her parents were considered poor, they were abusive and never around, which causes her to put up a wall with others. As a teenager, Carmen tries to act confident and seems to be the most teenager-like friend of Lucy's but she is still insecure about her skills and has a hidden violent personality. She stalks a guy named and constantly writes everything he does in her phone diary, and Lucy even notes that Carmen would kill for this guy.

6. Simon: New Zealand-based or British family. Comes from a loving family and is the fifth out of seven children; while his parents did work with chemical armament, they still make time for their children and teach them the good things about life; this causes Simon to not want to hurt others unless necessary. Was friends with Francine as toddlers but didn't remember her only a few years later until it was too late. Had a new body created for him after his soul container was found and they found his dying body; they rip the memory of Lucy out and use whatever DNA they could find on him to make the body. As a teenager, he is basically a more carefree-version of Siles from "Teen Wolf" but in a taller, leaner body with blonde hair. He openly flirts with Francine but truly cares for her since she has an old and dear friend to him before.

OMG I love you. You are now one of my best friends lolz I agree with all of them except Im a little lost on Simons & Francines after a bit but dont tell me anything. Also, whats the name of the guy Carmen stalks. You ended at named then startd at and. Also, I think Summer would be German descent or like, the outer rings of France descent because in volume 1, she says that her father got her the bunny on his last trip to Paris. Im leanin more towards either German or Polish because she's blonde headed with blue eyes but her last name is Polanski which is stereotypically a very Polish last name.... Or Czech.... lolz

Lol, if you go on my Fanfiction profile then you will understand why I ship Simon and Francine XD And the name of the guy Carmen stalks is Tristan.... I forgot to put his name

Oh, and Claude and Lucy still argue but it is a little more violent (verbally, and maybe Lucy attacking laude with a book or something) since they will be older and a lot more opinionated XD
