I'm testing out a lot of new things in preparation for my next book - using the mapping pen, copics, Google Sketchup and Manga Studio. I used all those things on this page, and slapped a few tones over it (which took longer than it should have...). I had to compress it for DeviantART; normally the tones would appear a little clearer, since the original is at 600dpi. In particular the hatching tone at the top right has compressed in a slightly squicky manner. Well, at least I like how I drew the girl.The characters are just some random ones I came up with - nothing to do with the next project.
Compiled in Adobe Photoshop CS3.
EDIT: Updated to fix left hand as well as clean up tones.

Hmm yeah. My comp's not too old but it's not powerful, and I get the 'freeze' thing happening as well. These art programs take so much to run nowadays...

I wish there was a way that it didn't freeze so much. One of my friends has the same program, but her computer is a month old so it runs faster on hers.

Oh gosh this look so good ;_; The only thing that might pose a problem is that top right corner, but I'm pretty sure thats due to the picture being compressed? I really love the pose and face of the girl, and the crazy detail of the machinery, as always. *thumbs up*

I inked all the bars (that was soooo annoying....), but some of the electronics were done in Sketchup.

You can export 2D renders from it to make backgrounds. That's how I made the fans and the turbines in the picture.

i wasent sure.... the bigtalis looked like a hoursetail so i thougth it was eather a boy whit long hair or a normal girl whit hoursetail
