Description
I would say sorry for all of the Haruka/Michiru fanart... But I'm drawing again, and that's all that matters. >But anyway...
This was a combination of two sketches-- the building on the left was a part of a group picture I wanted to do, didn't like it save for the building and vegetation, so I took a H/M sketch that needed a background, adjusted it, and flopped them in there. Then the outlines just kind of sat in my folder for a while (ie about three months...), until I thought about the colors I wanted so much that I had to work on it-- and I finally finished it today (I actually skipped class because I was so determined.... XD) I beleive I had way too much fun with the white ink...
I'm noticing a lot of moons in my sketches lately...
Copics, Prismacolor pencil, FW ink, Sekura pen, Pilot pen, White Pastel.

Very nice. Very soft and elegant... I especially like the dresses, namely, the fact that Haruka's wearing one.

Haha, thank you! Actually, in the Manga Haruka wear's a lot of dresses!

You mean, outside of her senshi uniform? Man, I GOTTA start reading it... I hear the comic is about 20 times better than the cartoon.

It certainly is better than the anime! They put Haruka and Michiru into the classic butch/femme stereotype, whereas the manga does it less so. However there are certain aspects that I do like-- like the development of the Sailor Stars.

Man, I gotta find a way to get my hands on the original manga. I actually had the opportunity to read about the first ten chapters on Manga Reader, and I was definitely left wanting more... It was a lot more, shall we say, reverent than I expected.

Reverent? I know that Kodansha is re-releasing the manga-- the first one is out currently and they plan on staying on a two-month schedule. The next one is in November.

Easier to respect, more respectable. You know, not so out there.
I'm aware of the re-release, but every two months for, what, eight or ten new chapters, sounds too slow for me.

Every other month is pretty quick, considering that they're retranslating. I think they rushed it, actually. There's plenty of people who have translated that you can download from.
