Massive, is one way to describe this bulky wolf. Front heavy, Callan sports a very large torso with a heavily muscles neck, shoulders and front legs. His muzzle is boxy and broad, and he has a thick, short ears mounted high on his head. His fur is also thick and tufty, offering him much warmth in the winter and a rather sweltering summer. His coat is a dark and ashy grey-black, that lightens as it graduates to his chest. His eyes are a monotone yellow, that often seem to say much more than he does. He sports a gouge like scar in his flank, as well as a slender line of scarring that barely touches the bridge of his nose, and carries under his left eye, as well as under his jaw and across his front leg. His opposing side has a large scrawling healed over wound eating up the majority of his thigh; his tail has been sheared about a third down.

While he is very large and stoic, Callan offers those he first meets a polite and chivalrous attitude. While he may just be being pleasant for the sake of it, he is truly generous. He dislikes seeing others suffer or starve and will gladly offer up what he has if it means helping someone else. If it's cold he won't bat an eye at you cuddling up to his side. When charged with a task he is dependable and will do his best to see it through to the end, in a timely and forward manner. In battle he is honorable and will never take the cheap shot.

Born as the first pups to a dispersal pair; Callan grew up in the remote North. When he came of age he wandered off to find a mate; finding one a few days journey from home. Besmitten with one another they spent several months frollicing on their own; before Callan tried to get her to return home with him. She refused- instead wanting to return to her own pack.

It was a large pack; with bizarre customs and an unorthodox religion. While bizarre he endured it for his love, evtually coming to have alitter with her. It was only after the birth of his pups that the pack turned on him. Apparently having only been using him for his rather unique likeness to their god. Beleiving said god was to return to their world in a cycle of reincarnation; the pack tried to slaughter him to 'release his soul.'

Callan of course faught his way out; narrowly escaping into the mountains. Afraid to retun home with the shame of losing his own pups; Callan wandered the ranges alone. As he went his body deterioarted and he grew scrawny and ill.
It was only when he came to the The Rift that he found a path worth sticking with.

Thus he joind Cleardawn.

When the war came to the packs Callan was ready. Ever the fighter; he faced foes with brutality and resilience. After all he was fighting for all he had left; his home. He took heavy damage in the fray, splitting his flank and gauging hos fore-paws in battles that left him bloodied but victorious. It nearly broke him. Like machinery he fought unyielding and un resting- how could he? There was far too much at stake. When the dust finally settled and the battle had been won Callan found... There was nothing to go home to.

His pack, his adoptive family was gone.

The heart can only take so much. Callan fell apart. He has become volatile, aggressive, mistrusting... and can anyone blame him? Three times he has fought to defend what he loves most and three times he has lost.
Rage had made him crave justice. He can only look to the gods now and ask for vengeance; for retribution for everything the world has thrown at him, and forced him to suffer through. With such idols and gods on his mind he joined Talionis. The only pack that could perhaps temper his steel.
