This is my tribute to my first furry crush. In fact she is the reason I got into furry art. I still remember the first time I saw her. It was early in the morning and I was flipping channels when I came a crossed the show Sonic the Hedgehog. (I think the show is called Sonic SatAM now) Being a fan of the old sonic game I thought I would watch it. Then she appeared with her big blue eyes and naked curvy body. Or at lest to my mind she was naked. I mean she only has those boots on... But being as young as I was and at the age and in the stage of developing my sexuality I couldn't help but have those strange feelings you get when you see something beautiful as a kid.So this is my tribute to Sally Acorn. I might not have that much of a crush on her now, but she will always have a place in my heart <3

This is also going to be for my animation class. I might animate her in a walk cycle.
Also I am sorry if I got her wrong, but I only had a few reference picks of the old sally that I fell in love with. So I had to do most of this from memory.

Way cool. Never watched much, but I always wondered - did Sally lose most of her tail somehow? Seems likely considering her occupation. Twelve years ago or thereabouts, I created a chipmunk original character (not pictured in my gallery yet, sadly), and my first drawings of her were incorrect until I noticed real chipmunks have long, slightly fluffy tails. Whoops!

This is sweet! I never understood the hate for Sally just because she wasn't made in Japan. I guess it depends on if you grew up with her, like me. Love you Sally-girl.

Hey, she was my first furry crush too. You did a great job with the modern-classic design. Still diminutive but with a better sense of proportion. I wonder how you would make her in a four or four-and-a-half head high model?

When I was very young, like when I was in primary school, I used to watch a lot of the Sonic SatAM cartoons, but they're often showed in Singapore on weekdays, at 5:30PM, so I found it hard to catch up on that series. But those days, I liked that show like no one's business.
Funny thing was that when I was very young, I never figured out why was Sally so awkwardly designed, without any form of clothing other than just boots. That gave me that she's under the impression of being "naked" (but in an awkward cartoon sense). And I was never into Sally at all; I found her to be an important character, but something that I don't quite understand, much less appreciate.
Right now, at this age, I began to see why Sally was so well-liked by cartoon fans - furries...
