I am really loving this one. The colors are amazing and I love the overall design. Reminds me of back in '09 when I'd play SPORE and make creations with funky heads and such.

Amazing work once more!

Wow that's pretty interesting. It actually looks vaguely owl-like. Kinda like a leapard, owl, ram, ape... sabertooth tiger? xD

i like this, but i have a question for you; do you think it would be possable to create a creature with no physical ties to anything we see here on earth? this for example would not classify since it has a shape like a horse and it has hooves. i mean something that is competly and uterally new. it doesnt even have to be practical anatomy like it has a mouth inside of its head etc etc. just a thought, thanks.

When you look at the immense variety of microscopic organisms, insects, and the many weird shapes of invertebrates, you'll find it extremely difficult to make something fully original. It is hard to find shapes that aren't already covered one way or another by the wealth of creatures and plants we find on earth. I think the challenge comes down to how likely the beholder's mind is to find a resemblance.

If we take trees for example, though they come in a huge variety of form, color, and texture, there are clearly some visual characteristics that make them recongizable to us as trees. If I was to come up with a new species of trees, I would have to keep to those characterstics (trunk and branches) or the viewer would fail to recognize my concept as a tree. I could of course make a box with shining holes in it and call it a tree, but what good would that do? I believe the same thing is true about other imaginary life forms. You can get away with some crazy shapes, but unless there is something there to suggest a creature, who would know?

A curious and alert mind see differences where the lazy mind pulls all things over one edge. Birch trees all look the same to some people, while others see the original and unique form of every single tree, at every single moment in time. Our eyes have never witnessed the exact same picture twice. Quite a lot of my creatures receive comments like "Hey, this looks just like this or that creature from this or that game." Typically the creatures they are said to resemble comes from games, cartoons, or comics I have never seen. I wonder if comments like these reflect my creatures, or the beholder of the creatures?

The answer is NO, I don't think it is possible, at least not if the viewer looks for similarities, rather than originality.
