Description
Customized version of HUD Gadget.IMPORTANT UPDATE [22.10.2010]:
~ fixed bug that showed 12:00 at midnight instead of 0:00
new Features:
- Format: 24h (00:00)
- all objects in line
- larger gadget width to overlap screen edge
- right-adjusted layout for prefered use on right side of the desktop
Installation:
Install as usual
Useful hints:
1. The larger width of the gadget allows you to place it more comfortable on the right side of the desktop, overlapping the edge of the screen. This is useful because when you hover with your mouse over the gadget setting icons don't appear.
2. To make sure the gadgets works on time properly, start in the moment a new minute begins e.g. 15:41 to 15:42.
All credit goes to the developers of the open source Gadget HUD Time
This is just an optical customized version by me. I am not the original developer.

Nice and simple.... however, the original "HUD" time gadget is much better.
Not only can you change colors of the font on it, but you can also change the percentage of opacity.
I like how the date is placed on your gadget over how it's placed on the other "HUD" one... but that's the only thing I DO like about it.
I'm sticking with the original "HUD" time gadget over yours. I'm sorry. Unless you can incorporate being able to change the opacity and color...
it is not worth the switch, to me.
If anyone is confused about what I'm talking about.. click the link below.
Original HUD is on the left, this HUD is on the right.

Hi,
thanks for your comment. You see, this submission is roughly 4 years old. Back then, the original HUD was working like mine and you could not change anything.Β
Assumingly, they updated their version and I'm glad you like it.
But I don't have the time, nor the required operating system to update and test the gadget, so I don't support it anymore.
I'm sorry.Β
Maybe you are able to change the placement of the date etc. in the text files by yourself if you copy some of my code. Feel free to do so.

Any way to change it so it doesn't show military time?

What do you mean with military time? 24 hour format?
That is not military time, but the time format for 99% of the world's countries
If you're looking for 12 hour time format, please read the description. The links are provided there.

It's very nice but where do I set the transparency? Currently it is vey transparent, which makes it almost invisible. Whats the point of a clock that is unreadable?
π: 0 β©: 1
CloudCastsShadow In reply to Stradivarius [2012-06-24 18:36:33 +0000 UTC]
Unreadable?
If you look at the screenshots, its perfectly readable.
I am not able to to include an option to set different values for transparency. Anyways, its perfectly readable for me.
Of course you cannot use a white or very bright screenshot, as the font colour is white.

hello user090254
how came you up with this name?
the .rar file is an archive file. you have to extract it with the free program "winrar".
then you will find the .gadget file you're a looking for.
sorry for the trouble

you didnt answer the question
do you have problems with the "rar" file you downloaded?
if so, please download winrar or 7zip. just google it, both are free.
