"Pumpkin Patch is the oldest son of the Pumpkin family, who have made their living growing pumpkins for generations. Patch was expected to continue the family business, but he didn't exactly have a green hoof. Every pumpkin seedling he planted ended up wilting and withering away before it could produce a single pumpkin. His parents were dismayed, and Patch felt bad for disappointing them. The only thing that brought Patch comfort was quilting with his grandma. On his Grandma's birthday, Patch gave his Grandma a beautiful quilt he had worked on in secret for months. She was so happy that she gave Patch a big hug, and in that moment, his cutie mark appeared. Now Patch makes a living selling his amazing quilts, and his sister has taken over farming."

Funny story about his sitting pose: it was an accident. He was supposed to be standing, but I drew his head too low on the page, so I made a last-minute decision to draw him sitting down. I haven't drawn Pumpkin Patch's family yet, and I only have an idea for his sister's name. I should probably get started on that.
