this is the kind of work that does not translate well digitally, because it's like 16 x 20 in, pencil, india ink and Sharpie.

Abstract assignment for arts high [we made our own stencils of random shapes, then were instructed to do a b/w mixed media piece incorporating patterns.]
I find this way harder than realism. I had to make so many more decisions than when doing something straightforward and representational. I happily admit that for 90% of this process I did not know what I was doing, and that if i took my eyes off of it for one second to pick up a brush, I forgot what part I was on and got lost.
