Description
Your eyes are absurdly blue,
Description does them no justice.
They lack a metaphor shining through,
Their innocence so steady and clean.
They hide no ego behind them,
looking out into a world,
still innocent and pure.
As if living in the Garden of Eden,
Well before the serpent came,
with its devious, cunning allure.
Spoilt from all the attention,
Yet without cynicism or piousness.
They lack self-indulgence,
But lead me just short,
Of any chance of contention.
If only for purpose of debate,
The eyes were indeed the window,
Leading down into the soul,
Yours would be without doubt,
Your most illustrious trait.
And one worth stealing.
