(copied from my Live Journal 'cause I'm too lazy to type it up again)I just finished reading Loamhedge, which I think is the latest Redwall book.
I'm not sure.
Anyhow, I've gotta say I wasn't as impressed with it as I was with the others. It just seemed like there was too much useless filler and not enough actual story. Though I am a big fan of Bragoon and Sarobando now.
So I made fanart ^_^
I'll probably ink it and fix up a few minor things sometime later this week.

I'll color it eventually and then update again with that rather than just scrap the old ones.

this is awsome. i love saro and brag i cried when they died. im really surprised you didnt like it that much, i loved loamhedge. but its your opinion so anyway yh great pic

It's not to say that it wasn't a good book; it just didn't catch me like some of the previous ones in the series have. But yeah, Brag and Saro are awesome. Oh! and thanks ^_^

I like - definitely has your style, but it's recognizably Redwall.
I read and enjoyed a great many of those books, but the last bunch have really fallen off . . . haven't read any of the new ones for years. Seems he's sorta run himself out of good storylines, and everything ends up being fluff and recycled bits in new mishmashes each time.

Yeah, he seems to have finally exhausted the many ways of telling the same tale over and over.
I hope that if he writes (or probably when, rather) the next one he finds a fresh well of inspiration and does something other than the "searats invade Redwall" plotline.
Bragoon and Saro were awesome though.
It's a shame their story wasn't as good as it should have been.
