Once again t'is for a person on LJ. I started a mass doujin project over there and I was asked how I made the screen tone, so here it is~Um... hope this helps, euphoria~

Oh wow, this helps a lot! I had made a ton of custom screentones at one point, but then Photoshop crashed and I somehow lost them all... and this method is a lot easier than the one I had been using! I'll have to redo my tones with this technique instead...

I've tried downloading some tones, but almost all of them have anti-aliased edges instead of being solid black pixels, so they always look like crap when printed or resized... Dx So I've pretty much been forced to make my own... xDD;;

But you can use it better than a texture sorta thing, and sometimes they screw up. I guess it's worth the time taken to do it your way *fails at using downloaded textures*
