Description
The lizard turned his shovel-sized head sideways to look back, then, unable to turn around where he was, began backing up toward the trunk. Then abruptly he did turn around, his head suddenly only five feet away from Kim. She put the bananas at her feet, backed into Ronβs arms, and found herself dangling below the branch like a spider.-----------
Another picture from my new story, "Orinoco."

They're all the same story. It probably looks better at my own site, but here and at fanfic you can leave comments if you want.

I looked at this because it just seemed so random. I'll have to look at the story.

I think (if I remember the scene correctly) this is the second or third bunch of bananas Kim has given this oversized vegetarian! Crocodile Jack is on the ground, tossing them up to Kim. They're trying to lure the lizard out of the tree so they can catc him alive.

They love most kinds of vegetables and fruit. There's a kid's clothing store in town that has a big iguana in a cage. I've watched them feed her. In the wild they eat jungle fruits and new growth leaves.
I thought I made it big, but somewhat less than gynormous. Most people who make monsters go for big enough to gulp a human in one bite. Not that an iguana of any size would care much for meat. We have a creature that's large enough to be a nuisance and probably dangerous. You wouldn't want to be bitten by that jaw of leaf shredding teeth, anyway.

I've always been partial to humongous, but I think that's actually made it to standard English. But it's not really gyhugic, just mesohugic or pleisiohugic. How 'bout gigahugic? That has possibilities.
