UPDATE, Oct 18, 2008
Enlarged to 800x600, and while I was at it, I fixed Kim's smile, and Ron's eye and skin color— rather subtle fixes, really, but they look better, and, well, better is better.

UPPERDATE, about 23 hours later.
There's nothing like a new picture ("Bookends") to make me dissatisfied with an old one. What I did this time was ink the drawing for real with a Sarasa Gel Pen, bitmapped and huge, the way I do things now, and combined this with the colors. Hey, it's clean and sharp and really in focus now! But you'll probably have to do the big view to see this.

How'd I do this? I printed the previous version in shades of cyan, inked the lines, scanned this, and removed the cyan to get clean black lines, which I then combined with the colored picture. Then I colored the lines and reduced a flattened version.

Wow, this picture's gotten a LOT of new faves since I touched it up. Thanks, everybody. Hmm. Maybe there's some others I didn't do quite right one way or another that could be improved.
