Description Normally this is a pony-exclusive account, but I've worked sort of a long time on this and wanted to share it. Luckily I've made another account specifically for this kind of thing over at CardPone , so this kind of post will be a one-time thing as CloudPone.

Recently a friend got me back into it and set up a simple reward system for participating in card battles, however, and that really got me back into it. So much so that I spent the last two weeks making this monstrosity!

The idea behind this card was to make it possible to include every single type of card in a single set (hence that series name "Omni"). So what you have here is a Dual-type Stage 1 Shining Pokémon. Not included here are Baby, Basic, Stage 1, Restored, and Mega Evolutions as well as Pokémon ☆, δ Delta Species, Holon's Pokémon, Owner's Pokémon (which is combined with Pokémon SP), Pokémon LV.X, Pokémon-EX, and M-Pokémon-EX. Not yet supported are Pokémon Prime and Pokémon Legend. I also have not made cards bases for Trainer cards or Energy cards yet, though they'll be around sometime, I'm sure.

The design, as you can see, is a callback to the original sets, which had the attacks formatted differently and included a butt-ton of Pokédex info while still maintaining all the other stuff. I did, however, move all of the Pokédex info to the bottom of the card where it would be both out of the way and in one place, which also made room for the 1st Edition symbol (the sentiment of which was sadly discontinued in America starting from Legendary Collection) and the set symbol across from it. Plus there are holographic options for the illustration, the background, and/or the border.

Rarities aren't terribly varied. I stuck mostly with the ones I like, and those are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, and Ultra Rare, which are denoted by a Black Circle, Black Diamond, Black Star, Gold Star, and three Black Stars, Respectively. The black rarity symbols will turn what against the backgrounds of Darkness type and Dragon type Pokémon, but that has no effect on the actually rarity of the card. It's just aesthetics.

Also, every energy type is supported, including one specially added for this set: the Flying type. This also includes Colorless, Fighting, Fire, Grass, Lightning, Psychic, Water, Darkness, Metal, Dragon, and Fairy, for a total of twelve types, which is a nice round number, as well as support for dual-type for any pair of types. I had to get creative with any type that was dual-type with darkness, seeing as the would require text that was both black and white, and we all agree that that would just look tacky. What I ended up doing was giving the white text a black shadow so it would be readable and blend in with the background fairly well. It doesn't look quite the best, but meh, it works. At least I didn't resort to the white text box like the EX series.

Anyway, I think that's about it. I'm getting ready to see if I can add illustrations to cards very soon. If you want to actually see these cards in action, go ahead and watch my new account at CardPone and see what this is all about. I'll be uploading cards and only cards there.
