Description
Hundreds of stitches, countless hours spanning over an eight month period, a variety of locations, and numerous emotions have influenced this piece.I named it Bittersweet as the life of a flower is fleeting. Many flowers that end up at florists are grown to be cut. In their dying days they give people incredible joy and pleasure.
The photograph really does no justice to it, but it is the best I can offer with my amature photography skills. I hope it was worth the long wait.

Thank you. I think it was a painful exercise as it was my first large piece and full of three quarter stitches.

Thank you.
I later realised why all these comments were appearing on two of my older pieces. Claudia decided to submit them.

Thank you. This was probably one of the more complex large Cross Stitches I have completed. Most of the ones I complete these days rely on a a huge variety of colours and size to gain detail.

obviously each cross stich is a standard 1/4cm isn't it?
i did cross stich myself, but only cos the textiles class had us do so

You are most likely correct. I forget the amount of stitches to the inch now.
Mmm ... Cross Stitch is a thing that people shouldn't be forced to do.

That is beautiful. The preview looked like a watercolour, with those soft tones... I am absolutely spellbound. I think I may even have a go at cross-stitch myself ^__^

I've inspired someone to take up cross stitch! Yay! I'm so happy that my work isn't in vain. If you do get something completed give me a bell and I'll definately have a look at it.

Thank you, with luck I'll take a better photograph of this piece in the future. The new piece I'm working on now should be a long in a few months ... I don't like it as much but I think you always have a special bond with your first major project and plus this one is a different style.

It's really beautiful jo, it's absolutely gorgeous, I could never have the patience to do something like that, I'm so proud. It's a beautiful piece!

* Hugs. * Heya. Thank you for the favourite. Oh by the way I beg to differ. You do have the patience, it's about starting small e.g. book marks until you basically outgrow them. That's the only way I've managed to do a big piece. With any luck will still be able to do the next piece. Which is bigger again.

It wouldn't have taken as long if I didn't have uni or lost interest for a bit or had damn half stitches. Started the next piece and with any luck shouldn't take as long.

Thank you for the comment. With any luck I'll shoot a better picture in time. Probably after I get the piece framed.
