So I started out wanting to just practice being a little less irritated with my work. I'm a perfectionist with my art and sometimes, that's a great thing, but sometimes it gets in the way, too. I was going to color this boy in all kinds of crazy colors just to go nuts and have fun (which I'm still going to do--later!), but I was talking to ~NewShine , who challenged me to try natural. And she loves red roans. So here's a red roan, my very first in fact!

Real colors are extremely hard for me. Like backgrounds! Except even more evil. Anyway, I also would like to have some pieces to take with me to a show here in a week (ish). We did sell some of our jewelry so this time we're going to head up again with it and I'm curious to see if I can sell any of my work as well. This guy was great practice either way!

Anyway, here's your red roan, ~NewShine ! I think I'm going to keep focusing on portraits like this for a little while before I start pushing on to the rest of the body...good anatomy work for me, too.
