Man, for a while now, I've been binge-watching this ENTIRE show FULLY and WOW was I not expecting the feels I got from it. It's still not complete, so I can't wait to see the next episode (that comes out on the 29th ima soooo hype)! Since I surf the internet a lot, I'm constantly spotting crossover fanart between Gravity Falls and Steven Universe, I find myself thinking "oh if GF and SU are drawn together then that means they're both good shows right" I was very right. and I am very happy that I was right

Now the scary bit.

This pic took longer for me to post because at one point during me drawing it, I decided to research about the fanbase. I normally do this for most fanbases so I know what kind of society I'm participating in and... *inhales and sweats* Whoa guys I don't know if I live under a rock or something, but I just found out about that huge controversy thing with the "criticisers" and a certain "fanartist"... It's a very touchy subject and I wouldn't want to offend anyone, so please proceed with caution. (no like seriously I REALLY don't want a hate war to start in my comment section, be WWAAARE, I might need to disable comments but I wont for now)

Um, so, a certain fanartist made some SU fanart, but made the characters that usually have bulky figures into thin figures/drastically change their features? And then people really didn't like it and began bullying, harassing and threatening her to a point where she attempted suicide. *sweats even more* Ouch guys... (>o_o)p That's really bad/sad/troubling... I don't want to pick any sides or anything, but what frightens me is the fact that this could happen to ANYONE, even me. That's why I took some precautions when making my picture up there, like so I made it not too spoilery and I used the Crystal Gems' very first designs so just in case people who haven't watched SU at all won't by spoiled by the inconsistency... It's prob not enough tho, so I very much hope no one takes offence of my picture somehow?

Pushing fanbase problems aside, the show is AMAZING, and I'm sure that's why there are a HUGE AMOuNT of SU fans that are dedicated in the consistency of people's fanart. If I have to be honest, however, (again, please no hate?) Gravity Falls hits cuts deeper feels for me and I'm pretty convinced I won't find any better kids cartoon TV show than GF (Gravity Falls fan to the grave yYEAAAAAA)

The crossovers are pretty cool though! I see tons of them, including even larger crossovers that include not only the Gravity Falls twins and Steven Universe, but also Frisk from Undertale, Star and Marco from Star Vs the Forces of Evil (still haven't watched this one) and the two boys from Over the Garden Wall (I just searched it up, they're Wirt and Gregory. Man, gotta watch this one too)

So yeah, brace yourselves for more SU in tha future!
