Description This is NOT free to use! So please... don't. Thanks.

I'm now offering commissions of pixel gemstones like these! If you're interested, check out this journal !

Again, my creative genius when it comes to naming things once again reveals itself.

I like pixels, and I like gems. Chara likes flowers, and... flowers have stems. I'm a brilliant poet, I know.
(I hope my sarcasm is obvious, I'm not actually as pretentious as Zircon.)

Have another kind of realistic study thing! I dunno. This one was more just... painting with pixels instead of using base lines to make facets. It was still fun. I'll probably make more.

Zircon's is here !

*Flails arms confusedly* I dunno how to take complimentsss, nuuu. >n>
... But thank you. ^u^

Okay. But that is. Untrue. Do you paint with your eyes closed? Have you seen your art style? It's artists like you that make me want to keep trying to improve.

Aw, thanks. I went to art college for four years so I've been trained--I just also picked up some baggage along the way that's made it tricky to get fully immersed after taking a loooong break, lol.

Keep striving and experimenting and honing what you love, though! I think part of what I like about your gem images is that they're so different from the character studies that most people post, and they show that you've really studied the facets of actual gems instead of working off of the extremely stylized stuff that comes from SU. Keep doing that with other fandoms if you're into them; I think it's a really nice touch and it makes you stand apart from the crowd.

The sheer amount of work you've put into learning and working with your art is exceedingly obvious, and though there are obstacles, if you wish to continue with it I'm certain you will overcome them. Or don't, that's up to your preference and up to what happens in your life, and there's nothing wrong with that. (Speaking of school, that's what I've been especially busy with. ^^')

I have always had an avid interest in geology and gemology, long before SU came out! That's likely why I've become so invested, not necessarily in the show itself, but certainly in my own characters and the story surrounding them. As a gem nerd, though, I know at least partly how faceting works, and it's definitely fun to apply that physical logic to fictional things. c;
