Description Response to Quest 3: The Hidden Temple: Part 2 . I got The Hidden Gardens .

IT'S A THING. IT'S ALSO BEEN... A LONG TIME, NOT SURE HOW LONG BUT A VERY LONG TIME SINCE I SAID I WOULD ACTUALLY GET TO POSTING SOMETHING. WHOOPS. (I honestly don't have an excuse other than the fact that my amount of schoolwork has been massive.)

Hey, you get to see what more than a full year has done to my art, since it's been that long since the last part of this comic. >.>
Part 1

Glowy stuff is so much fun. I really liked the colours in this comic. ouo ALSO that text is my handwriting. In font form. Weirddd. Let me know if you're having trouble reading it, I can post a transcription.

Comic Trivia (i.e. Useless but possibly interesting info?):
    - Zircon has an absolutely terrible memory. She often mixes up details of previous events, coincidentally often ending up with her recollection of them showing her in a far better lighting. (Great, more fuel for her ego. >n<)
    - Continuing off the previous point, Chara acts as Zircy's voice of reason on multiple occasions since she almost always remembers what actually happened. Unfortunately, Zircon doesn't always listen. (As in this comic.)
    - Chartreuse Pearl has a plant healing/plant growth acceleration ability, also shown in this comic .
    - The monster in the water has a hypnosis ability, which Zircy falls victim to.
    - Never send Zircon on a stealth mission.

For Biweekly Prompt 12 I turned this comic into a meme. Try and guess what it was before I post it. >u>

Chartreuse Pearl  and Green Zircon  belong to me. ^^

Wooaaah!!!   This comic are fantastic! The shots are perfect, the colors beautiful and I love how you draw the backgrounds and characters!
Good Job! I can not wait to see the next part! even because I think Zircon's style of fighting with the chain blade is very interesting
ps. sooner or later I should start this mission too

Ah, thank you so much! >w< It was a lot of fun to lay out the composition and such, I've never really done anything like this before. THE COLOURS WERE FANTASTIC TO WORK WITH. BLUE GLOWY THINGS ARE AMAZING.

I'm excited to show what it's like, I drew a lot of inspiration for her weapons from Kai from Kung Fu Panda 3 , but there's a major difference in their fighting style, seeing as Zircon has a much lighter build and an ability akin to telekinesis with her knives. She makes up for her lesser strength by using her environment and finding her opponent's weakness, but you'll see that in the next part. ^^

I agree with TiaBlackRaven , your work is great and you transmit a great sense of depth with your drawings.

Besides, it is just me, or Kai's chained swords looked somehow similar to Kratos' chaos blades ?

Personally I have never played God of War but in fact seems to remember the weapon of Kratos.
However, in all sincerity, I like the design of the Zircon's weapon more (^-^)

Indeed, I'm also inclined to think that 'swift and agile' is better that 'strong and brutal' ^_^

Though I can see the resemblance you're talking about, I think the two are only similar because they're the same type of weapon. It's kind of like comparing two swords, you know? Stylistically I think they're very different. That said, I'm always on the lookout for inspiration, so maybe I'll check out Kratos' fighting style some time. c:

Also thank you both so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it. >w< (In my opinion Zircy's blade design is too simple, but that makes it easier when having to repeatedly and consistently draw them, like in a comic. ^^')

I like it because it's simple, sometimes too many details risk ruining something
If I can give you my personal opinion it is better to make the simplest weapons possible, I am so sorry to have done the spiral on the sword of Serpentine because in perspective it is a real chaos ( °-°)"

Chara and Zircy's designs are just over two years old now, and I've changed very little about their appearances despite the noticeable difference in my art style. They're not complex or detailed in any manner, but I understand what you mean. ^^ Even now, most of my character designs are rather simple; it makes it easier to exaggerate expressions and, as you said, draw perspective (though I tell you now, my perspective is still really wonky ono).

If she ever were to reform, you could change Serpentine's weapon slightly, considering Garnet's gauntlets change from their first version to their second when she reforms. c: I mean, there's also the fact that she's a fusion, and Pearl and Amethyst's weapons don't seem to change. I dunno. ^^' (Or you could just change her weapon out of the blue, too.)

Actually I had not thought about the issue of changing weapons like Garnet ... It's a very good idea, thanks! (^v^)b
I could also give some sort of weapon enhancement and change it also thanks to Bismuth (also because that's why it was created, it's his job )

Oh, that's a good idea too! (I did not forget Bismuth could do that, I just... eugh, alright... Zircon comes from somewhere... >n<)

Good luck with whatever you do decide on!

Though I appreciate the kind words, I hope whatever you say is "nothing" turns out well in the end. Good luck with your own art, too, my friend. ^^
