Coloured version of my "Bleach: When Fans Attack".I didn't like Mayuri when I first saw him. I hated him. He tried his hardest to make sure it stayed that way too. Or did he? Because once Akon showed up, I was hooked on em both. >__<
Bloody Mayuri... You sneaky little... baiting me in like that! *Shakes fist* >__<

I love this! Akon's very attractive and I find Mayuri attractive as well. The barcode on Akon is interesting, just what did the fangirls do to that poor guy?
Silly Mayuri, hr didn't have to use Akon as fangirl bait! I'm already a fan of him, the clip of Mayuri without the mask made sure of that.

I have to agree with you. When I first saw Mayuri, I didn't like him a damn bit. And I think it was justifiable. For instance, who implants bombs in their subordinates and then blows them up all in hopes of gaining a research/experiment specimen. Not to mention his treatment on Nemu.
However, I will admit it was his crazy enthusiasm, even if it is for science, is what won me over.

I felt very much the same way about Mayuri as you described. Even seeing his unmasked version didn't phase me. I wanted to see him die.
I'm still not sure how I have come under his control.
But allow me to say I love how you have drawn these characters! Their proportions and build are drool-worthy. I also really like the way you tied their obi(belt). I have a hard time making those look natural, but you did a fine job of it here.
Definitely a fav from me.

I'm glad to hear it! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who wasn't immediately suckered in after his unmasking.
Still, he's one sneaky sneaky bastard. He sniffs out all your weak spots and just worms his way in >_< before you know it, you're hooked, and half the time you don't even know why!
I'm really glad you like it! Akon never looked too big to begin with and the only big thing about Mayuri has always been his clothes

For me, I despise Mayuri when I show how he handled Nemu (since I'm a feminist). But after he took of his mask I was like "ZOMG I LOVE YOU!"
How do you color your pictures? Do you use the smudge tool is PS?

And that's pretty much the same reason I dispised him. And I still dispised him for it even after he took off his mask. Took me a loooong time to change my mind. But when I did... I was hooked!

How did Akon make you change your mind about Mayuri?
I've tried it before. I was so friggin pissed since it took such a long time. I'm new to the coloring thing, so it took me longer. (never liked coloring even since kindergarden)
Since you had the line art on paper how'd you get it on PS?

I'm big on character relationships and sometimes when you want to know more about a subordinate you have to know more about the boss. Mayuri was already starting to grow on me at that point anyway, so Akon really only gave me the final push.
It does take a long time. There's got to be an easier way. But until I find it, I'll just have to keep with what I know best. This pic took me about 8 to 10 hours to finish completely o__O Just colour alone! But I don't really mind. Once I get into it it's hard to stop until it's all done and I don't even realize I've just spent all day on one pic.
I do the original lines on paper, and the good lines on PS or Open Canvas (On a seperate layer of course). The lines are the most time consuming, tedious part about the entire picture!
