Description
So I challenged myself to take my own references, this is our family cat Oscar, but semi-realistic. I wanted to mesh my watercolours and realism together and it seems to have worked quite well. This was done using Arteza coloured pencils, white gel pen and acrylic (my pen ran out), fineliner and watercolours on the background. I also used zest it solvent to blend out the first couple of layers, and a craft knife to etch in fur details.
The reference was taken by me and the photo of the piece has been edited using Photoshop
