Kyle strives to be like his mother, a famous scientist, and tries to help her with her newest invention, a teleporter.
In doing so it malfunctions and sends Kyle into a familiar but quite different new world.

To better understand this world, with the help of a fascinated stranger, Kyle attends the school where his strange new friend works at.
Kyle finds out a student there was the one who saw him arrive, the same one who took his phone, the only thing linking him back to Earth.
Dax recognizes Kyle despite his paper bag disguise and tries to tell everyone he's actually a human, but due to his reputation as a jokester, nobody believes him.
Thus sending Dax into a mission to expose Kyle for what he is. A Human!
