Description
Update: The banner can be found at the following site, where it will remain permanently: www.pointroll.com/PointRoll/Adβ¦NOTE: The interactive banner ad is on the -right- side, just hover your mouse over
the text that says "design your own crest" once it's done loading.
The banner will actively show up on other sites for the next year or so.
These are a collection of crest/coat of arms sections for a Flash crest generator ad. With this generator, people will be able to make their own unique crest designs, choosing from the selection of shields, animals, symbols, banners and crowns I rendered above. Most of these elements are based on traditional crest arrangements, while some of them were meant to be humorous, as per the clients request (ie the lobster, FabergΓ© egg, pig, goldfish, etc.). Using the generator, most of the crest sections will be size adjustable and some of them will have multiple color selections. Also, personal text messages will be able to be typed on the banners. The crest generator ad will be promoting the 2009 Toyota Corolla.
Considering the color and detail limitations the client put on this project, I'm pleased with the finished product. It's not the most creative work I've posted on DA but I figured it's worth uploading, as per it was a lot of work. I actually created 17 completed crests as examples of possible combinations one could make with the crest sections, you can see 3 of these examples at the top of this spread.

1) It's not my website.
2) The website exists for demonstration purposes only.
3) The interactive banner ad is on the -right-, just hover your mouse over the text that says "design your own crest" once it's done loading.Β
Thanks.

Yeah, the generator is on the right side, just hover your mouse over the banner. Keeping in mind, that is the demo version, the real version is no longer on the internet (as it's 2010). But, the demo version pretty much does the same thing as the final version.

They're not for downloading. The interactive "make your own crest" banner will be available soon, it should appear on myspace and youtube but I'll post a link to it on my journal too. Stay tuned.

awww, I was hoping this was an editable AI file... but I suppose Toyota owns that now, eh?
At any rate, Kudos to you! It looks fun!

Oh neat. This is totally awesome! I love the lobster. What better to represent your family than a tasty crustacean?

ah... this will be commercially used from toyota?
so no source-usage for us normal users?
nice stuff though I must say!

I'm not sure what you mean, it's just something to attract people to the brand and pass time while surfing the internet.

yea, I got that part...
but I don't think those ressources will be available for personal use, since it's for toyota? (like for doing using it in own artworks)...

Oh, I'm not sure. I'm sure they wouldn't care but who knows. Maybe they'll post a disclaimer?

hehe... ye, who knows... but I'd guess there's always a bureaucrat somewhere you wouldn't like people using toyota's propaganda material for other use
might as well do my own crest material, then there's more self-satisfaction in the work too and I don't have to bother about legal-stuff

Silverglove [2008-01-21 15:17:00 +0000 UTC]
it's missing a lot.. but i gess it's not supposed to be much more complete
however 2 of your crests don't respect the no metal on metal rule as they have an argent horse and an argent rabit on an argent background

Cloxboy In reply to Silverglove [2008-01-21 15:23:06 +0000 UTC]
Good observation. I'm sure these are far from being authentic. Had authenticity been a factor, these would look much different. The generator will be more for people's amusement than anything else.
