Me=hate this picBut I did all the work so I'm submitting it anyway. This for a contest by ! You had to use 1 of 3 different stock pictures and here is the link to one I used. Stock photo by (I hope I got that right). :/

I'm the exact same way with every work I do. I go back and look at it a week later and see all sorts of flaws

Tee-Pex, that white stuff you use to blot out ink. Like if ur writing something and write the wrong thing u can Tee-Pex over it.

Honestly when I first saw this I was like "Girl with Fish hooks and boats." Then it progressed to "Maybe she has 2 Really long Eyelashes" Then I looked at the contest and was like well the original really of shouldn't done that with her eyes. Now I have a very Stephen idea for an entry into the contest, myself. Score one for deranged thought process.
The basic background is fine and fits with the character. Unless you wanted to go with some sort of fountain or weird bird cage. I'm pretty sure that she's suppose to be an arabian princess. Changing the color of the dress, head dressing, and earings was a good move. It's a better color for the skintone methinks. Adds more depths. Also I'm glad you didn't try to make her look mean like in the picture this is based off of.

The backgrounds okay, but the girl is really great Silly! I like the designs around her eyes. And of course how you coloured her hair...

It's the background that's really pissing me off. Of course, out in the desert you're not going to have a grey stone castle, and I've seen pics of places in deserts that are huge and sort stucco but not really. I didn'th have the right colors for it and I kept messing it up while inking it, so I was really frustrated.
