Since I read this quote in Neil DeGrasse's Death by Black Hole I realised that I'm always searching for a deeper, more fundamental answer to my questions than most people are able to provide. This applies across both my scientific and socio-philosophical queries.

The truth can be terrifying or many times deeply unreachable, so I used my thalassophobia as a metaphor for it
