Description
Here's an old drawing I recently discovered. I went through at least a trillion false starts before I finally found the right way to start my comic "Opey the Warhead". This was one such failed attempt, one panel on a page that was never finished. Not sure what was going on it but it did involve this old fella. Quite strange.Related content

Interesting panel, you can see clearly from the illumination done with your shading that's he's using that projector (actually I noticed at last the machine, my focus went to the light coming from it), I can see too that you were experimenting a lot in the way you do the shading, directions and all. Also, the idea of this old dude with the machine as a part of the comics looks quite dramatic to me, I liked it.

Thanks, Jade. Yeah, I wanted to see if I could depict light without actually drawing it's outline, letting the surrounding darkness define it's shape. It was very experimental.

I think slides did have something to do with it. I can't remember what was on the slides, though. Maybe it was Opey...or porn.
